The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has received 180 Nigerians repatriated from Niger Republic, arriving in Kano on Tuesday.
Facilitated by the International Organization for Migration (IOM), the returnees included men, women, and children, some requiring medical attention for malaria and minor illnesses.
They were taken to the Nigerian Immigration Training School for profiling and documentation.
The repatriation follows Niger’s withdrawal from ECOWAS and ongoing diplomatic strains between the two nations.
