The national orator of Liberia's 175th Independence Day celebration, Mawine Diggs, is calling for unity among Liberians whilst urging public officials to work in the supreme interest of the ordinary people.

This year’s Independence Day is held under the theme "Fostering Unity, Protecting Peace for Development and Prosperity.
