New damning report launched on Sierra Leone health and education sectors

Action Aid Sierra Leone and Budget Advocacy Network have launched the Public Austerity Report on the country's wage bill for the health and education sectors from 2016-2021.

The report indicates that teachers and health workers constitute about 61 percent of the workforce, but their take home salaries are just between 30-36 percent of the total wage bill.

This has made service delivery in those sectors inefficient.

Patrick Sallia has more in this report from Freetown.
