Nigerian troops evacuate 10, 000 residents to screen for Boko Haram fighters

    The United Nations on Thursday reported the forced evacuation of the entire population of a town of 10,000 people in northeastern Borno state by the army without warning.
    A U.N. statement said soldiers moved the people of Jakana to a camp in the city of Maiduguri about 40 km away.
