Nigeria: BH fighter sentenced to 15 years in prison

    A court in Nigeria has sentenced a Boko Haram fighter to fifteen years in prison.
    The convict, Haruna Yahaya, was sentenced for participating in the abduction of over 200 school-girls in the town of Chibok in Borno State, in 2014.
    The campaign movement Bring Back Our Girls set up in the aftermath of the abduction to advocate for the release of the school girls has welcomed the sentencing of Mr Yahya.
    A senior executive of the movement, Dr Emmanuel Shehu, spoke to WADR on the phone line to Abuja.
