The Governor of Nigeria’s Benue State, Samuel Ortom, has reported fresh killing of two policemen in his restive state and called for prompt action to stop the carnage.

In a similar vein, the Vice President of the Nigeria Bar Association also called on the government to treat the alleged fulani herdsmen attack as an act of terrorism and not communal clashes.

Benue State has been the epicenter of armed attacks allegedly by herdsmen, resulting to the killing of dozens of people in recent days.

Governor Ortom spoke to journalists in Abuja after a one-on-one meeting with President Muhamadu Buhari on the crisis.
