Togo: Opposition calls government's move illegal

  • 12 October 2017

The Togolese government now prohibits demonstrations on working days in a bid to reduce the impact of protests on the economy.

But organizers say that decision violates the Constitution of Togo which allows for public protests.
They have also declared two days of demonstrations next week.
Kafui Ajamagbo-Johnson is with the opposition coalition leading the protests.
