Guinea’s opposition held a demonstration in the capital over the weekend to express their frustration at the government’s alleged disregard for a 2016 governance roadmap.

It says it will continue to stage protests until the government can commit to implementing the agreement which calls for local elections as well as the appointment of a new head to the national electoral commission.
Ibrahim Boubacarr Bah is the spokesman for the Union of Democratic Forces of Guinea (UFDG), the opposition party leading the protests.
