The Country Representative for UNHCR in Burkina Faso says the situation regarding Malian refugees and internally displaced people is alarming.
More than 25,000 people have been affected.
Burkina Faso has been experiencing growing insecurity which is marked by several high-profile attacks in the capital Ouagadougou.
The violence has increasingly targeted humanitarian actors hence limiting the ability of the humanitarian community to provide lifesaving assistance in some affected areas.
