Prince Charles and his wife Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, are in the Gambia for a two day visit as part of a nine day tour of commonwealth countries in West Africa.
Prince Charles and his wife arrived in Banjul on Wednesday. It’s the second time the Prince is visiting the country since 1961.
He revealed that Great Britain will continue to support the development of the Gambia in diverse sectors.
The Prince and the Duchess are expected to depart from Banjul on Friday for visits to Ghana and Nigeria.
The Gambia, earlier this year, officially reintegrated the commonwealth after the previous regime withdrew its membership in 2013.
