Resident doctors in the Gambia are demanding the resignation of the health minister who reportedly accused them of stealing drugs from public health clinics and hospitals to run their private pharmacies.
The doctors say Minister Saffie Lowe-Ceesay’s claims are baseless and must therefore relinquish her post.
Dr Ibrahima Ba is the resident doctors association of the Gambia.
He spoke to WADR’s Adolphus Mawolo on the phone line to Banjul.
