#Salonedecides : Vehicular restrictions leave voters stranded

  • 07 March 2018

Thousands of voters in Sierra Leone have been stranded after the police authorities imposed a restriction on vehicular movement on Election Day, except those of election officials and election observers.
Two parties protested against the ban in court but lost the case yesterday.
The police say they imposed the ban for security reasons.
Freelance journalist Precious Lebby visited one of the parking stations in the capital, Freetown to speak to some of the stranded voters there.
