Mali: MINUSMA says armed groups recruit child soldiers

    The UN Mission in Mali released a statement that Child soldiers are recruited by leaders of the armed groups fighting in the country.

    MINUSMA also revealed that children are currently detained by the Azawad Movement Coordination (CMA) in its Kidal stronghold in the north after it defeated the Gatia rebel movement in the area.

    WADR’s Lika Sidibe spoke with Illad Ag Mouhamed, the spokesman of the CMA rebel group in Mali to respond to the UN statement.
