    Ebola: ECOWAS boss roots for more funding to hardest-hit countries

    Ghana's President John Dramani Mahama has appealed to the international community for more financial asistance to the countries hardest-hit by the Ebola epidemic.

    Mr.Mahama who is also Chairman of the Economic community of West African States (Ecowas) made the appeal in Accra on Friday during a high level extraordinary coordination meeting with partners against the Ebola epidemic.
    Meanwhile, Togo’s president Faure Gnassingbe, who is the Ecowas special cordinator for the Ebola epidemic expressed surprise by the nature of the destruction caused by the epidemic in hardest-hit countries.
    He observed that a massive awareness campaign was necessary to help eradicat the epidemic.
