Ex-Senegalese soldiers want skills for civilian life
A group of Senegalese ex-soldiers Sunday has held a press conference in Dakar, bringing the government’s attention to their plight.
The ex-soldiers, many of whom are jobless with no income to support themselves and their families, have blamed the authorities for not initiating any skills project in the army to prepare soldiers for life after the military.
Jean Leopold Gueye is the Secretary General of the Association of Former Soldiers in Senegal. He spoke with WADR’s Sheriff Bojang Jnr. about his group’s grievances and demands.
