Sierra Leone: Calm returns after ethnic feud in Bombali

Sierra Leone’s authorities are trying to resolve Inter-ethnic feud in the Bombali district in the north of the country.
WADR’s Freetown Correspondent says calm has returned to the area though the areas is still tense, as police reinforcement has been sent to ensure the respect for law and order.
The feud earlier degenerated into violence between Mandingoes and Limbas in the Beriwa chiefdom, where the clashes between the two tribes leading to loss of lives and properties.
The violence reportedly started after a youth from one of the tribes was allegedly beaten to death on Monday.
The deceased allegedly crossed from a Limba section of Beriwa to cut palm nuts from Manjoro section in the Madingo territory, but there was retaliation.
