Finding ways to effectively manage sub-region’s waste
Managing waste is an uphill task in cities across West Africa, with rural urban migration becoming a daily phenomenon.
Experts in waste management and other stakeholders are brainstorming how to address this challenge at a two-day conference currently taking place in the Ghanaian capital, Accra.
The conference is organized by the Integrated Waste Management in Western Africa (IWWA).
IWWA was set up to promote solid waste management systems in the sub-region.
WADR’s Accra Correspondent Kofi Agyepong reports.
