Confab to transform Sierra Leone underway
February 1, 2012A national development conference aimed at transforming Sierra Leone is underway in the capital, Freetown.
Speaking at the official opening, of the three-day forum, President Ernest Bai Koroma spoke of plans to transform the country into a middle income and advanced economy country in the next 25-50 years.
Hundreds of delegates are attending the conference, which organizers say is being held with the view to ensure that when the, people are thinking, their leaders will be listening.
As WADR’s Freetown Correspondent Mohamed Konneh reports, participants are coming from across the country.
