GIABA partner with Journalists to fight money laundering
April 8, 2011Organized by the Inter-governmental Action Group against Money Laundering in West Africa (GIABA), the session was to adopt and reinforce the partnership between the agency and media organizations from the region.
It was also to encourage journalists of a network against money laundering set up in 2010 to continue investigating about economic and financial crimes in West Africa.
Patrick Baido of the Ghana Press Agency is the chairman of the network, and he tells WADR’s Alexis Bies why journalists should get involved in the fight against money laundering and terrorist financing.
