Liberian diaspora group on alleged police brutalityApril 8, 2011
The organization is reacting to the reported manhandling by the Liberian police of students of the Monrovia Consolidated School System (MCSS) during a recent demonstration.
It wondered whether it was a crime for the students to protest the underpayment of their teachers, which had led to a disruption in their learning.
The spokesman of the Diaspora civil society group, Jacob Massaquoi believes that the alleged brutal action of the police has shaken the Liberian people’s confidence.
