Observing Right to Know day
September 28, 2011Media rights activists and other pro democracy groups are on Wednesday holding various activities across the world to mark the freedom of information day.
Also referred to as the right to know day, the day was set aside to raise awareness about the right to freedom of information.
Here in West Africa, Liberia and Nigeria recently became two pioneering countries to enact a Freedom of Information law in the sub-region.
Sierra Leone is among few other West African countries pressing forward to pass the Freedom of Information law.
