Mali has been playing host to the 31st international scientific conference on research in the fight against Tsetse fly, which cause sleeping sickness or trypanosomiasis.

Scientists say Tsetse flies are large biting flies that live on the blood of vertebrate animals and they transmit the trypanosomiasis disease to human beings and animals.

The Mali meeting is being attended by a number of researchers and experts, as WADR’s Abdoul Karim Bah reports from Bamako.
