W. African women mobilizing action for regional development
Hundreds of West Africa’s female leaders, gender activists and officials have begun a 3-day meeting in the Ghanaian capital to mobilize action for regional development through gender equality.
The high level international symposium on sustaining responses on gender equality opened on Tuesday.
The forum is organized by UN Women in collaboration with other organizations including Trust Africa.
Experiences are being shared and participants are presenting case studies of their respective countries.
As WADR’s Sheriff Bojang, Jr reports from Accra, guests at the symposium were first introduced to a full flavor of Ghana’s traditional melodies.
