SPORTS: Liberia FA probes 55-0 win in Female league match
In football, it is quite normal for a team to lose 3-zero, 6-0 or even seven, eight or nine-0 to an opponent.
But there’s definitely something wrong somewhere when goals start to pour like rainfall.
That is exactly what happened in Liberia’s national female league when Earth Angels thrashed Kebeh FC 55 goals-to-nil. Yes 55 massive goals to zero!
It is perhaps the biggest victory in football anywhere in the world. But the Liberian Football Association is investigating claims of match fixing that might have resulted to the goal festival.
