Fragile states meeting opens today in Liberia
A conference bringing together fragile states opens today, Wednesday in the Liberian capital, Monrovia.
Ahead of the meeting, Liberia' Minister of Planning and Economic Affairs, Amara Konneh has described Liberia as an example of most of Africa’s terrible tragedies and for the recent emergence of hope in Africa.
Addressing a news conference in Monrovia on Tuesday, Minister Konneh recounted that during the decade of civil war, Liberia was regarded as a land of political comedy, widespread corruption and unimaginable challenges to the outside world.
