Guinea: 2 million public school pupils without teachers

Guinean authorities say more than 500 teachers in the country have abandoned their posts, leaving a gap in the public school system.

According to the country’s Minister of Civic and Primary Education, Dr Ibrahima Kourouma, efforts are underway to address the problem and carry out the redeployment of some 516 teachers.
