Malians from Libya in action, but army dislodges rebels

Mali’s Defense ministry says government troops have overrun positions of rebel forces, comprising Malian fighters returning from Libya, who attacked the northern town of Menaka.

The fighting comes just days after a delegation of Malians from Libya including pro-Kadhafi ex-fighters met with President, Amani Toumani Toure recently and pledged their support to the state.
