Civil Society groups in the Ivory Coast have been reacting to the arrests and indictment of 15 associates of former President Laurent Gbagbo, calling for fair and equal justice.

Human Rights Watch (HRW) is calling on the Senegalese government to quickly investigate alleged violent assaults on the human rights activists Alioune Tine and Oumar Diallo during Thursday’s street protest against proposed constitutional amendment.

That was said to be the worst political violence in Dakar's streets in the last 10 years.
