July 21, 2011Ghana’s Western Region Minister, Paul Evans Aidoo has ordered the immediate arrest of all homosexuals in the region.
According to our Accra correspondent, Aidoo tasked the Bureau of National Investigations and other security agencies to ‘smoke out’ persons suspected to be engaging in same sex.
Guinea: President Conde remains in attacked residence
July 21, 2011Guinea’s President, Alpha Conde has remained in his residence that was attacked by armed soldiers on Tuesday.
In an interview with WADR, Guinean journalist Karim Kamara said most parts of the house were destroyed by rocket and gunshots but there remain other unharmed parts that the president and his family continued to use.
He said Conakry was calm on Wednesday, amidst heightened security in the city, especially Conde’s residential area.
